The Rover, a barque, laden with timber, of either Kirkcaldy, Fife or Leith, Scotland, for Leith, Scotland from Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada struck the Heids o' Sheldigeo and foundered at Hesswalls, Fair Isle. Only one crewmember was saved.
