    The Angus (H362), a steam fishing trawler, of Hull, England, foundered while under tow for Lerwick approx 3 miles W of Horse Holm/4 miles W of Sumburgh Head after having previously grounded near Foula.

  • Daily air mail service to Shetland began for summer months.

  • First succesful use of aircraft to spot herring shoals.
