The fishing boat Replenish, LK97, was almost lost when struck by two massive waves near the Ve Skerries. The first wave turned her side on to the second wave which washed away the wheelhouse, smallboat, and other deck fittings. Several of the crew were washed overboard but luckily all hands made it back on board, and the vessel made it back to harbour in Scalloway.
