The Ann, a brig, registered in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Captain Agnew.

While in passage with a mixed cargo or pitch, tar, mats, tallow, wooden deals etc, from Archangel, Russia, to Liverpool, England drove ashore during a severe gale on to the Garths Ness side of the Bay of Quendale, Dunrossness on September 15th 1823. All of the crew were saved, as was all of the cargo, which had only sustained minor damage. The hull of the vessel being totally beyond repair, was subsequently sold.
