Baliasta Old Kirk

Baliasta Old Kirk, St Olsf's Church, in Baliasta on Unst, was built in 1763. Now it is only a roofless shell left. It is surrounded by a kirkyard, and there are also graves inside the ruin.
On one side of the church, there is a memorial plaque and crosses marking the graves of some of the crew of D/S Hop of Bergen, which was attacked and sunk by a German submarine in February 1940.
