The Benita, a schooner with a transom stern, 37 GRT, L 21 x 5 B metres, built 1845 at Poole, Dorset, England, owner W. J. Adie. Voe, registered in Lerwick. In passage, laden with a cargo of salt fish (understood to be 20 tons), from Voe to the West Voe, Papa Stour. While lying in the West Voe parted from her anchor in NE Force 9 wind conditions, drove ashore and became a total loss on November 17th 1881. All of the crew were saved.
