Bluemull Sound

Bluemull Sound, (HU555025), is the stretch of water between the islands of Unst and Yell, and is crossed by a regular ro-ro ferry service connecting these islands.
On the west side of the sound is the Yell settlement of Cullivoe, which has a pier and marina located in the sheltered water of Culli Voe.

The Clementina wrecked on Papil Ness on the Yell coast of the sound in 1724, the Norna wrecked in the sound on December 26th 1838, and the Marjory Stuart also wrecked on Papil Ness on April 13th 1898.
