The Brian O'Lin (alternatively Brian O'Linn), a wooden hulled sailing vessel of 63 tons burthern, Captain Forrester, registered in Grangemouth, Scotland. While in passage out of probably Hillswick (original record states 'Hillavick'), struck a rock "near" Scalloway, possibly in the East Voe of Scalloway, and sank on either September 17th or 21st 1840 (the available records are in dispute). All of the crew were saved.
