Shetland is geographically noted as being a rugged island group consisting of many island and islets. All the islands feature a number of Headlands and Hills, many of the headlands giving their name to local settlements, also in many cases these settlements and headlands are linked to the names of bays, voes, firths, and other inshore waters.
