Gruney is an uninhabited holm which lies about 1.6 KM north of the Point of Fethaland, at the northern end of Northmavine on the Shetland Mainland. Just to the northwest lies the Ramna Stacks.
Gruney is home to one of only two colonies of Leach's petrels to be found in Shetland.
A Lighthouse, located on the holm, was first lit in 1976, and a new light was established in 2004.
