Henriette
Shetlopedia - The Shetland Encyclopaedia
Henriette (to Scottish records also known as Henrietta), was built in Bremerhaven/Part of Bremen (Germany) in 1873, registered at Danzig (J. Paleske, merchant in that town and owner). Classified as barque of about 340 ton with a cargo of timber, sleepers and beer.
This vessel was grounded on Havre de Grind rocks, probably Hoevdi Grund about 2 miles east off Da Lang Hoevdi, Foula but drifted off without crew and was later seen off Unst - according to different sources she was brought to Burra Firth, Unst (eventually with the assistance of the Earl of Zetland or an other ship) but dissapeared over night.
Date of loss cited as December 4th, 1881.
