Honey Comb Toffee

Ingredients

  • 6 oz Granulated Sugar,
  • 4 Level teaspoons Golden Syrup,
  • 2 Tablespoons Cold Water,
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking Soda.

Method

  • 1. Oil a 8 inch square tin,
  • 2. Put syrup,sugar and water into a large pan,
  • 3. Dissolve over a low heat using a metal spoon to stir and bring to boil,
  • 4. Boil for about 15 minutes until a little will set hard when tested in cold water,
  • 5. Remove from the heat, stir in the baking soda and pour into prepared tin to set,
  • 6. Leave to set hard, break up with a toffee hammer.

Notes

  • When set it's full of bubbles, Honey Combed.
