Isbister is a small community on the east side of the island of Whalsay
The Thomas wrecked at Isbister on December 30th 1796, as did the Fortuna at Niddi Geo on January 2nd 1848, and the Nordstjernen at the Noust of Isbister on April 6th 1880.
