Noonsbrough is a small settlement on the west side of the Voe of Clousta, on the west side of Shetland Mainland, not far from the village of Clousta, located at the head of the voe.
On George Low's 1774 tour of Shetland he notes "the ruins of a large burgh, but the stones have been carried off for building"
The remains of the brough are located on the small point that juts out on the shoreline below North Noonsbrough, it can be seen in the photograph below, taken in 1970.
Noonsbrough, probably taken in the 1940s. The roofless house of North Noonsbrough is in the foreground on the left with Mid Noonsbrough to the right and South Noonsbrough to the right of that, the next roofless ruin in the distance on the right of the Voe is Skeotaing with Clousta in the distance beyond that.
