North Havra is a small island on the west coast of the central Shetland Mainland. It is separated from Binna Ness by the narrow Sound of Havra. The island rises to a height of just over 30m.
North Havra as seen from the Scord of Sound, west of Weisdale Voe. In the foreground of the picture the two smaller islets are Hoggs of Hoy and Junk. The west side of Hoy can be seen at the front left of the picture.
Seen from the opposite angle, from
Burra. The Skerry, front centre, is Papa Skerry, and the south tip of
Langa can be seen at the right of the picture. The hills in the background are to the west of
Weisdale Voe.
