On the 4th March 1967 trhe russian trawler SRT4240 ran aground in a geo at the Point of Skaw, Unst
SRT stands for "sredniy rybolovnyy trauler", which means "medium fishing trawler"
The crew and much of their possessions were saved with the assistance of the local coastguard, and transferred to another Russian trawler which was at the scene.
