Not sure whether it makes some sence or not.
In case it does and you come across a harbour which should be mentioned, feel free to add the name to the list and I will see to a short explanation ... ;-) Islandhopper 18:05, 24 July 2007 (MDT)

Makes perfect sense IH, and a brilliant idea. Place names and national borders change, an up to date list of what's what is very much needed to make sense on it all.
A couple of general thoughts, would making each of these old port names where they appear in an entry page a live link to this article page be a good idea? Likewise, would making this article page and the 'Shetland Shipwrecks (Tools)' article page sub categories up at the top along with the 'Braer' sub category be a good idea?
At the moment it's not a problem finding them in the main category list, but if many more entries get added finding those two which are essentially 'Help' pages, among the list of vessel names on the page is going to become more and more difficult. There's only 120+ on there just now, but the eventual list is going to have at least 500+ vessel names.

Makes excellent sense, and a very much needed tool. Yes linking to that page will be a great idea, I don't know where most of these places are, so I assume other site visitors will be just as delighted to have an explanation.
500+ named wrecks is a very real possibility,,, boy boy dat's gyaain ta tak a guid map ta shaw aa dat :-)
